Delivery Device
To show people how to deliver the rock properly. If you are not able to remove the device from the back of the handle cleanly it shows you that you are turning it or flaring the stone and the light bulb comes on in your head what you are doing wrong. It is that simple!

Last time I saw this type of device was when my kids were using toilet paper rolls but I guess if you can get people to pay $10 for a toilet paper roll more power to you.

Hi Coach. Yes people have used toilet paper rolls to do the same thing. I have tried to take it further. First with covering it and cutting a grove in the bottom of it so the curler has better control of the rock. Also the same rules that are for a delivery stick are similar if someone wishes to use this in a game. The only thing is it cannot be used in a Canadian championship. But I don't believe anyone would use it in a game it is meant to be used for practise, time and time again. Not like a piece of paper that gets crushed quickly. When you give a new curler a toilet paper roll to put in their hand I am sure they say to themselves "can't they come up with something new','or where has this been''.
I thank you for the comment and the Smile
